Multi-diamond engagement ring found downtown Kelowna

A multi-diamond engagement ring found in the 1600 block of Bertram Street has been turned over to the Kelowna RCMP who are attempting to find its rightful owner.

A Good Samaritan brought the ring to the detachment on Dec. 27. There was an attempt to find the owner through social media, but was unsuccessful.

“This ring obviously has great meaning to its owner and appears to be well-worn and valuable. The Kelowna RCMP would like to reunite this ring with its rightful home,” said Const. Mike Della-Paolera. “The ring is very distinct and has a word stamped on the inside.”

Robber shot by employee inside Chicago Loop jewelry store

CHICAGO (CBS) – A man trying to rob a jewelry store in the Loop Saturday morning was shot by an employee inside, and it was all captured on surveillance cameras inside and outside the store.

The incident happened just before 11 am on Jeweler’s Row, in the 0-100 block of North Wabash Avenue.

Yorkdale mall jewelry store robbery: TPS search for 4 suspects

Toronto police are searching for four suspects wanted in connection with a “brazen” smash-and-grab jewelry store robbery on Wednesday.

It happened just before 8:45 pm, in the Yorkdale Road and Dufferin Street area at Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

Officers said four suspects went inside a mall jewelry store when one suspect brandished a handgun and pointed it at employees. Meanwhile, the other suspects allegedly began smashing the glass display cases with hammers.

Police said an undisclosed quantity of jewelry and cash was obtained.

The four suspects took off in a vehicle.
