In anticipation of the upcoming digital sale of the Pharrell’s JOOPITER and Lorraine Schwartz’s luxury jewelry collection, Hypebeast was invited to a private viewing of the gems. A chance to inspect and experience the unique stones of the “Lorraine Schwartz: A Journey Through Gems” sale, it is evident that Schwartz’s widely coveted designs are truly one-of-a-kind.
The collection continues to cement Schwartz’s position as a prominent diamond expert, forging her own path to becoming one of the most successful jewelry designers in the world. On display for the private sale were a selection of jewelry pieces worn by the likes of Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and more. A long-time fan of Schwartz’s, Beyoncé-worn emerald cut and hexagon shape diamond earrings set in 18K white gold are a part of the sale, as are the emerald and diamond bib necklace with matching earrings set. This emerald and diamond earring set contains over 18 carats of pear-shaped emeralds and more than 11 carats of fancy-shaped diamonds.
In addition to some of the most sought-after jewelry sets, the private sale also includes individual stones including a 20-carat triangular shape Brazilian Paraiba stone, an incredibly rare gemstone known for its turquoise blue shades. Highlighting the gemstone sale is also a D flawless type IIa heart brilliant cut diamond, coming in at over 50 carats. Another 80-carat diamond was also highlighted to Hypebeast. Various rings including a heart-shaped yellow diamond ring belonging to Pharrell were available for private viewing. The yellow diamond comes in just under 16 carats and is set in a bezel ring of 18K yellow gold.
Schwartz and Pharrell’s relationship goes way back. In a statement, Schwartz recalls her friendship with Pharrell, “I was lucky enough to meet Pharrell over 20 years ago, and we’ve built an incredible friendship through a mutual appreciation for the most exquisite and unique gems in the world. To me, ‘A Journey Through Gems’ is not only a curation of the finest bespoke high jewelery available now, but also the story of our journey and relationship as told through gems. I am excited to partner with JOOPITER for this once-in-a-lifetime sale, bringing access to these gems and their provenance to a global audience.”
